Rachel Alvarado is a board-certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Integrative Wellness Artist, Strength & Conditioning Specialist, professional figure skater, and founder of Holistic Atelier de Élégance and Holistic Bride®.

Rachel specializes in nervous system regulation, restorative creative expression, bridal wellness, and integrative approaches to graceful aging. Her work explores the relationship between nourishment, movement, mineral health, epigenetic balance, hormones, and the nervous system — helping clients better understand the patterns influencing how they feel, function, restore, and age.

Central to her approach is the belief that wellness is an artform. Rachel sees creativity not simply as something beautiful to add to life, but as a restorative practice — a way to return to presence, support nervous system regulation, and create greater harmony within the whole person. Alongside functional insight, nutrition, movement, and individualized care, creative practice becomes part of how wellness is practiced and lived.

Blending science and artistry, Rachel approaches wellness as a living canvas — thoughtfully composed with precision, presence, and grace. Her work is grounded in hope, freshness, and faith, honoring the remarkable design of the human body and the beauty that can unfold as we learn to understand it, care for it, and step more fully into being elegantly well.

“Wellness isn’t just about the absence of symptoms. It’s about rediscovering who you are when your body, mind, and spirit feel fully alive.”

Wellness is an ARTFORM

Your story deserves to feel radiant, restored, and whole. Whether you’re navigating unexplained symptoms, seeking deeper balance, or simply ready to understand your body more fully, I’m here to help you uncover what your body has been trying to tell you.

Hi my name is Rachel & this is my wellness story…

my story—

When I look back, my journey truly began in childhood — rooted in family, figure skating, and a fascination with the human body. I was always inquisitive, observant, & eager to find answers that aligned with my spirit. My grandmother lived with Parkinson’s disease, and mental health challenges were woven into my family’s story, but I never accepted that as my fate. Even at a young age, I found myself wondering why some people struggled with their health while others seemed to thrive — and whether our story had to determine our future…

HER PHILOSOPHY

Rachel’s philosophy embodies a whole-person, bespoke approach to wellness — blending functional insight, thoughtfully selected laboratory testing and supplementation, nourishment, movement, nervous system support, and restorative creative practice. Her approach is both analytical and compassionate, looking for patterns beneath the surface while honoring the interconnected nature of the body, mind, and spirit. Rather than simply managing symptoms, her work is centered on helping each client better understand their body, support its capacity for restoration, and cultivate greater discernment in the way they care for themselves — with precision, creativity, and elegance.

From a young age, I was drawn to the world of health & wellness with a natural sense of prevention and purpose. As a passionate figure skater, I wanted to understand how nutrition & whole-body care could help me perform at my best. At just seven years old, I found joy in recreating my family’s recipes with healthier ingredients — long before I understood that those early experiments were shaping my future as a holistic nutritionist and functional wellness practitioner.

“ SHE OVERCAME EVERYTHING THAT WAS MADE TO DESTROY HER.”

After college, that curiosity was tested. Running multiple businesses, moving away from my hometown, recovering from emergency surgery, and stepping fully into self-employment all at once became overwhelming. When burnout and unexpected trauma followed, my health began to unravel. My immune system weakened, my hormones became imbalanced, and I experienced a cascade of symptoms — fatigue, weight changes, skin and digestive issues, and thyroid stress.

Despite living a “healthy lifestyle” on paper, my body was telling a different story. Natural remedies weren’t enough, and conventional answers often left me feeling dismissed — told that everything looked fine, or that what I was experiencing was simply in my head. Deep down, I knew something was being missed.

With my wedding approaching, I was determined to feel like myself again. Enough was enough. That same curiosity I had carried since childhood led me deeper — into functional laboratory testing, nutrition, movement, intentional lifestyle choices, detoxification, and learning to listen more closely to what my body was asking for. Testing gave me valuable insight, but it was the practice of applying what I was learning — consistently and intuitively — that began to change the way I understood healing.

I began to see that restoration wasn’t found in one test, supplement, or perfect routine. It was found in understanding the whole picture, making thoughtful choices, and learning how to work with my body rather than continually pushing past it. Along the way, I also discovered something I hadn’t expected: there could still be beauty, creativity, hope, and life within the process of becoming well.

That experience became a defining chapter in my own restoration — and in the kind of practitioner, mentor, and guide I would become.

THERE HAD TO BE MORE…

“It can be challenging to take a step back, breathe, and redefine what caring for yourself really looks like. I had to learn that lesson the hard way — but it changed the way I understood wellness.”

Through prayer, reflection, and seeking wisdom, I began rebuilding from the inside out. I returned to drawing & painting, began skating again purely for joy, and reconnected with creativity as a restorative part of my healing. I was learning that nourishment, movement, functional insight, and intentional lifestyle choices mattered deeply — but so did the state of my nervous system, the presence I brought into my days, and making room for beauty and creativity along the way.

As a romantic at heart, I wanted to step into marriage feeling like the fullest version of myself — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Over time, the pieces began to come together. My skin cleared, my cycle normalized, my energy and mental clarity returned, and I felt stronger and more at home in my body. But what stayed with me most was not simply how I looked walking down the aisle. It was how differently I had learned to care for myself.

That experience became part of the foundation of Holistic Atelier de Élégance — a space where science meets soul, and wellness is elevated to an art form. Today, my mission is to help others restore balance, vitality, and confidence through root-cause healing, functional lab testing, and holistic lifestyle design — guiding them to experience their own version of elegance in wellness.

Because becoming well is not only about what we overcome. There is beauty to be found in who we become along the way.

At Holistic Atelier de Élégance, my approach combines functional medical lab testing, holistic nutrition, and individualized practitioner care with nervous system support, restorative creative practice, and the artistry in living well. Together, we look beyond surface symptoms to better understand your unique physiology and the patterns influencing your wellbeing — empowering you to restore vitality, deepen your understanding of your body, and reconnect with your natural elegance.
